Miðborgin okkar

Too many time we watch and wait,
Too many times we think it’s ok,
Too many times its enough that somebody else is fed up,
Too many times we are not fed up enough ourselves.

What will it take for me to have enough?
What will it take for me to make a change?
What will it take for me not to be so scared anymore?
What will it take for me to live my truth?

Too many times I hold myself back,
Too many times I accept the discrimination,
Too many times I laugh and hide the hurt,
Too many times I look for ways to seem ok.

Is this all I am?
Is this all I will ever be?
Is this what my life has come down to?
Is this all there will ever be of me?

Too many times I am fed up,
Too many times I want to the that change,
Too many times I don’t speak up,
Too many times I live for everyone else.

When does it stop?
When am I free?
When do I raise my voice?
When am I enough?

Too many times I think and think,
Too many times my voices scream within,
Too many times I disappoint myself,
There have been too many times of being unfulfilled.
